Description: The Manitoba Metis Federation is building a 6 storey mixed use project for 55-plus rentals in Selkirk, MB slated for 2024, and will be using the same design for a future project on 385 Henderson Hwy in Winnipeg which will replace Roxy Lanes (formerly The Roxy Theatre) if they can get past a call for heritage designation. The Selkirk project includes 49 residential rental units, 8,250 square feet in commercial space on the main and second floors, and a 3,800 square feet common area with a residential terrace overlooking the Red River and East Selkirk Bridge. The Winnipeg project is expected to include a similar configuration with affordable seniors housing above two floors of commercial space.
